Review of: The Only Woman in the Room

The Only Woman in the Room

By Marie Benedict

This was an enlightening read. I knew that Hedy Lamar was a solid scientific inventor, but I had no knowledge of where her drive to focus her talent on remote communication devices came from.
This woman played so many roles and wore masks all of her life. Many to keep her and those she loved alive. She lived at a time when the intellect of a women was dismissed, unbelief, and rejected rote. If she lived today she would be a founder/ceo taking on climate change and making huge strides.
This story of her life shows how others see you can be used to advance the things you believe in, but should not define you and your life.
